Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-05-13
By using cybertoolbox.io or app.cybertoolbox.io you agree to these terms. They are written under New Zealand law.
1. The service
Cyber Toolbox is a cyber coordination platform. It coordinates incident response, threat hunting and exposure management — providing playbook content, a case-management workflow, an asset register, and audit-trail records. It does not detect, scan, or monitor anything on your behalf, and it is not a substitute for professional incident response or legal advice. Cyber Toolbox is in active development (alpha); features may change.
2. Your account
Cyber Toolbox is multi-tenant and organisation-scoped; every record is isolated to your organisation. Seats are licensed per user — don't share a single login. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials (passkey, authenticator-app 2FA, or email one-time code).
3. Pricing and billing
Community is free for a single operator. Pro is NZ$1,470/workspace/year (up to 25 users), excluding GST, with monthly billing (NZ$147/workspace/month) also available; Enterprise is a dedicated tenant priced to your programme. Pricing is flat per workspace and may change with notice. The free playbook library is available at every tier; Pro adds the full operational platform and the wider playbook set. You may cancel at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not refund partial periods.
4. Acceptable use
Don't use Cyber Toolbox to commit, plan, or document criminal activity. Don't attempt to compromise the platform itself outside of the responsible-disclosure process described at /.well-known/security.txt. Don't share content the playbooks ask you to capture (logs, evidence) outside of your own organisation without authorisation.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the data you put into the platform (assets, case content, evidence, notes). You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to operate the service. We do not train models on your case content. We do not share your case content with third parties except where compelled by law or required to deliver the service (e.g. infrastructure providers).
6. Our content
The playbook library is authored content. You may walk, fork, and customise playbooks inside the platform freely. Bulk export, redistribution, or republication of the original library content outside of your own organisation requires written permission.
7. Service availability
We aim for high availability but make no SLA commitments at this tier. Plan accordingly: the platform is not your incident-comms channel; have a backup way to reach colleagues if we're down at the moment you need it.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Cyber Toolbox is provided as-is. We don't warrant fitness for any particular purpose. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. None of this affects your rights under the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act if you're a consumer (not a business buyer).
9. Termination
You can close your account at any time inside the platform. We may suspend or close accounts that breach §4 (acceptable use). We'll give 30 days' notice before discontinuing the free tier, if we ever do.
10. Disputes
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Disputes go to the courts of New Zealand. We'll try to resolve issues directly with you before that.

This page is a plain-English v1 launch version. It will be replaced with a formally reviewed TOS before paid billing goes live; the substantive commitments above are committed in good faith and will not be weakened in the formal version.
